Quadricusped aortic valve-Echocardiography

Quadricusped aortic valve, parasternal long axis view. Four cusps, four commisures.  Mostly, aortic valve is tricuspid. Bicuspid aortic valve occurs in 1-2% of population. Unicuspid aortic valve, incidence is 0.02%. Quadricuspid aortic valve is seen 0. 0125 to 0.033 % of population.   Unicuspid aortic valve is usually stenotic. Bicuspid aortic valve tends to develop stenosis. Quadricuspid aortic valve usually has regurgitation.
