Future of Diagnostic Sciences-All-in-one Diagnosticians
My personal belief, although, there will be proponents for and against this thought.
As a radiologist , i have at times felt the itch to be able to look at the slide as well as the radiological picture and give the complete diagnosis. And personally i believe, time will come when radiology and pathology and functional imaging will converge into a single true diagnostic science. And there will no radiologists or pathologist, there will be diagnosticians who will be capable of linking all clues together, they will have the three dimensional ability and extent visualization of radiologist and insight of the functional & molecular imaging , with benefit of being able to microscopically evaluate as well. Future surely looks exciting.
