Bronchogenic Cyst-CT


Relatively well defined predominately fluid signal intensity ~0-20HU rounded lesion (measuring 4.5 x 4.2cm in axial plane with no obvious enhancing components or air fluid level, posteroinferior to tracheal bifurcation  and in posterior relation to left atrium. Possible differential because of close proximity to the carina is bronchogenic cyst.

Bronchogenic cysts are lined by respiratory epithelium and most are located in the subcarinal or right paratracheal area in close proximity to the trachea or bronchus.
