Urinary Bladder Herniation into Inguinal canal

This is a 67 year old male with prostatomegaly and shows herniation of urinary bladder into the right inguinal canal, this is a relatively uncommon but not a rare condition. It occurs when the urinary bladder or ureter herniates into the inguinal canal, scrotal sac or femoral canal.  Differential  includes:'bladder ears' - in young infants, normal protrusion of lateral aspect of bladder is seen into the inguinal canal.
