Allows assessment of acromial morphology
- type 1, a flat acromion
- type 2, a curved acromion
- type 3, a hooked acromion : majority of rotator cuff tears seen in patients with type-2 or a type-3 acromion
Here is a patient with osteophytosis on the undersurface of acromion process impinging on the subacromial space.
